Happening at Franklin Military
We celebrate Read Across America Month. There are many exciting activities planned at Franklin Military Academy. For instance, one of the novels The National Education Association promotes during Read Across America Month is Kwame Alexander's The Crossover. We are reading the book as a school, and cadets may participate in a scavenger hunt. Author visits are also planned with our very own Dr. Jennifer Smith and Major Andrew Giffin. Among the activities, there will be a book giveaway for cadets. It is all about promoting the love of reading. View this Read Across America presentation https://rb.gy/tz481q.
The Franklin Military Academy Virtual Book Club is back. Everyone is invited to participate. This will be our space for reading books. Here, I will post novels we can read together and novels you are reading. We can have discussions about our favorite books and make recommendations. Also, I will post reading strategies and tips to help you become better readers. We read Kwame Alexander's novel, The Crossover, to celebrate Read Across America Month. https://rb.gy/d3qzod
