Congratulations, Franklin Military Academy, on the National ESEA Distinguished Schools Program Recognition!

At a ceremony in Denver, Colorado, FMA was recognized in February 2026 as one of only two schools to represent Virginia for exceptional student performance for two consecutive years.

Congratulations, FMA Winter Sports Winners!

The FMA Boys' Middle School Basketball Team and the FMA Swim Team each won 1st Place, and Petrus Dinan Howard won 3rd Place for the High School State Wrestling Championship.

Happening at Franklin Military

Each year, the Richmond Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. proudly sponsors the Laverne Morton Williams High Achievers Program to honor high school students who demonstrate consistent academic progress, active involvement in school and community activities, and strong citizenship. This year, we are thrilled to recognize over 50 outstanding students from surrounding school districts—including you! Congratulations! Your school counselor has selected you as a 2026 High Achiever in recognition of your achievements. All nominated 12th-grade High Achievers are eligible to apply for the High Achievers Scholarship, using the Google Form. Scholarship applications are due March 25, 2026. 

The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. | Alpha Phi Zeta Chapter scholarship is offered annually to deserving high school students who reside within the City of Richmond, VA, and plan to further their education.  Students meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Young lady graduating from high school
  • Resident of the City of Richmond
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • The application is open until April 15th, 2026.

The 2026 Inaugural Golf Tournament will take place at Belmont Golf Course at 1600 Hillard Road. Register now! The fee is $150.00 / per person and $500.00 / per team.  Get excited!  There will be door prizes, raffles, contest prizes, and player giveaways.
